BORN IN AMERICAN FORK
MARRIED A CENTURY AGO
ATTENDED OREM HIGH
ATTENDED UTAH VALLEY TECH COLLEGE
I started in broadcasting at Orem Highs radio station at which time I received a scholarship in electrical engineering and broadcasting engineering.
Got my first professional radio job when I was a junior in school working at KFTN am and fm working for Singer Bill Anderson doing weekend. From that position I move up the ladder to the 6 to midnight shift to mid-days to afternoons to mornings. Started doing the programming which duties included reporting to R & R, Cashbox and Billboard magazines.
Worked in Salt Lake City at KRGO doing afternoons, then to KSOP I did once work in the basin area before when I was hard up for a radio job at KNEU (sorry about that).
I like the fact that we do everything at X-94 from here we don’t pipe anything in with the small exceptions of some news clips. We choose the music we program what we think is right for our area we are live and love to be local!
I built my first station 92.7 along the Wasatch front then 98.7 in Central Utah build 103.9 along the Wasatch front and then from there to KXRQ which is now channel X-94.
I am married to Diane with Natasha Justin Annie and Ryan. Love to hunt fish for Mac’s (my largest 41lbs) ducks geese. Favorite food is elk back strap. Come in and see the pictures some time or let’s go hunt em’. I support most all of the wildlife organizations.
I love radio and the basin area!
