Spiritbox have announced they’ll be releasing a new album ‘Tsunami Sea’ alongside a blistering new single ‘Perfect Soul’. Check it out below.

The news follows the band sharing the single ‘Soft Spine’ – now revealed to be the first taste of their forthcoming second album – in September. It marked the first new music from Courtney LaPlante and co. since their ‘The Fear of Fear’ EP last year, which followed their debut album ‘Eternal Blue’ in 2021.

Now, they’ve announced their return in the form of ‘Tsunami Sea’, which will be released March 7 via Pale Chord in partnership with Rise Records. You can pre-order it here.

Alongside the announcement, the Canadian metal band have shared the haunting single ‘Perfect Soul’. Employing their signature, high-octane soundscapes, the track is interwoven with poetic lyricism. “So cover up the well and leave/A gift to summon the spring/Imitation of a perfect soul/I shine a light into a thousand eyes/All watching, waiting,” LaPlante sings on the chorus. You can check it out below.

Earlier this year, the band teased new music with fans through the means of a puzzle, shortly following their appearances at Reading and Leeds in August.

The puzzle consisted of various symbols that each played a split second of music when clicked. The pieces had to be moved into the correct sequence in order to progress to the next level.

The ‘Tsunami Sea’ tracklist is:

1. ‘Fata Morgana’
2. ‘Black Rainbow’
3. ‘Perfect Soul’
4. ‘Keep Sweet’
5. ‘Soft Spine’
6. ‘Tsunami Sea’
7. ‘A Haven With Two Faces’
8. ‘No Loss, No Love’
9. ‘Crystal Roses’
10. ‘Ride The Wave’
11. ‘Deep End’

In other Spiritbox news, it was revealed in January that they were working with former Bring Me The Horizon member Jordan Fish.

During an interview with NME last summer, LaPlante explained: “We’re just writing music that we like: sometimes it’s going to be heavy-sounding or feeling; sometimes it’s going to be really beautiful and light-feeling and maybe the lyrics are just a little bit heavy.”

She continued: “I think that we’ll always make heavy music. But it’s fun to know that our fans are accepting of whatever we make. They’re letting us figure ourselves out in real time.

“I like that they’re open-minded, but they’re also really honest. They don’t just lap up anything we do. They’re critical. I hope that we continue to attract really open-minded people.”

Spiritbox are set to support Linkin Park at two of their upcoming comeback tour dates for 2025, including a performance at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 28. You can visit here to buy any remaining tickets.

They’ll also be playing at Czechia’s Rock For People festival between June 11 and 14 next year, alongside Linkin ParkSlipknot and more, as well as taking to Download festival next year.

In a recent interview with NME, Spiritbox were named by festival boss Andy Copping as one of the artists he can envision being a future headliner. Check out the full discussion here.
