SZA has shared a new, chilled-out video for her song ‘Drive’ which stars Ben Stiller. Check it out below.

Shared today (December 20), the new track comes as the latest teaser for the singer’s long-awaited ‘SOS’ deluxe album, dubbed ‘Lana’.

Arriving just hours before the album drops later today, the new track is one that has been teased by SZA for a long time now. She promised fans on Tuesday (17) that the song was set to arrive by the end of the week, and hinted that it would star big-screen legend Ben Stiller.

The new song sees SZA get in touch with a new emotional depth, and the video, directed by Bradley J. Calder, captures that same late-night, lonesome feeling. It shows Stiller, who drives along a dimly lit empty road, lost in thought while mouthing along to the lyrics.

Towards the end, the video takes a different turn, as the camera pans away from Stiller and moves over to the nearby woods, which captures SZA in bug-like form similar to that of the album cover.

I been up ’til up midnight, drivin’ to nowhere/ Bumpin’ a slow song, can’t get my head clear/ I been up ’til sunrise, headed to nowhere/ Hopin’ that someone’s missin’ me somewhere,” SZA sings in the pre-chorus. Check it out below.

Ben Stiller’s involvement in SZA’s ‘Drive’ video comes after the two shared their adoration for each other. SZA earlier this year begged Stiller for more Severance episodes, with the actor-director shortly after assuring her that her wish will come true.

Most recently SZA appeared on Kendrick Lamar’s surprise album ‘GNX’, following her hinting at the prospect more than a month ago. She will also tour with Lamar on a joint 2025 ‘Grand National’ North American stadium trek.

SZA’s ‘SOS’ scored a glowing five-star review from Rhian Daly, who wrote for NME: “‘I’m making the best album of my life for this next album’, SZA told Flaunt in 2020 and ‘SOS’ is just that – a phenomenal record that barely puts a foot wrong and raises the bar even higher than she set it before.

“That quote, though, came with a caveat: ‘Because it’s going to be my last album.’ Here’s hoping SZA reneges on that declaration but, if this is the last we hear from here, at least she’s going out on the highest of highs.”
