Billie Eilish and Finneas have reportedly hired new management.
Reports of the two changing companies came from a new update from The Hollywood Reporter, which claimed that the musicians are now both being managed by Jason Owen. He works as part of the Sandbox Entertainment company, and has an impressive roster of clients including country singers Kacey Musgraves and Kelsea Ballerini.
Before the reported move, Eilish and Finneas were represented by a business called Best Friends, which was co-owned by Danny Rukasin and Brandon Goodman.
They worked with Rukasin and Goodman for the majority of their careers so far, and the management, publishing and recording company was founded in 2019. Other clients represented by Best Friends include Mimi Webb and Role Model.
While represented by them, Eilish hit huge milestones including over 40 tracks on the Hot 100, 32 Grammy nods, nine Grammy wins and the Number One single ‘Bad Guy’.
During that time, Finneas secured 21 Grammy nods and 10 wins, while the two of them have won two Oscars. These came from the Bond track ‘No Time To Die’ – which was taken from the film of the same name – and the Barbie track ‘What Was I Made For?’.
At the time of writing, no official confirmation about the reported shift from Best Friends to Sandbox Entertainment has been shared by either artist, and the reasons behind the decisions have not been publicly disclosed.
As highlighted by Billboard, this month saw an impressive number of wins for Sandbox while at the Academy of Country Music Awards. In total, the brand snagged five trophies, including Ballerini’s win of Entertainer Of The Year, Ballerini and Musgraves’ wins for Female Artist Of The Year and Little Big Town’s win of Group Of The Year.
Eilish’s latest album was ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’, and was named in NME’s list of the Best Albums Of 2024, coming in at Number Nine. It contained the hit track ‘Birds Of A Feather’ which was then named as the 12th best song of 2024 by NME.
The singer recently played snippets of two new songs during a recent interview and revealed that she has been “making music” again.
As for Finneas, the news comes as he recently shared his sophomore album ‘For Cryin’ Out Loud!’, and was confirmed as one of the artists joining Noah Kahan at London’s BST Hyde Park.
