Dave Navarro and Vanessa DuBasso marry in gothic-inspired wedding at Scottish castle: “We wanted it to feel like a dream”

Dave Navarro and Vanessa DuBasso have tied the knot in a gothic-inspired wedding this past weekend in Scotland.

The iconic guitarist’s (Jane’s Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers) wedding took place at Dunskey Estate in Stranraer, Scotland, which features an Edwardian castle surrounded by woodlands and views of the sea. While speaking to PEOPLE, the couple explained that it was their dream to get married in a castle and said that the estate was “enchanting”.

“We wanted our wedding to feel like a dream,” Navarro told the outlet. “It was important to us to find a place that felt unlike anywhere we had ever been, a place that embraced nature and transported us to another world. We wanted our loved ones to share in this intimate experience.”

“It exudes a moody, ethereal charm. Surrounded by a towering forest, a serene lake and the ruins of a castle along the shoreline, it felt like stepping into a fairytale,” shared DuBasso.

According to the outlet, the couple exchanged handwritten vows in a forest ceremony, which featured gold candelabras at the altar, an aisle lined with white roses and chandeliers hung from the trees to create “an almost celestial ambiance.” “I really wanted the wedding day to feel like a piece of heaven,” DuBasso shared.

The Grammy-nominated guitarist took to his official Instagram stories and shared some behind-the-scenes snippets of the big day. As reported by Billboard, some of these snippets included photos of the couple skeet shooting in the countryside, a video clip of them smiling at each other during dinner and a clip of a fireworks display.

This marked Dave Navarro’s fourth marriage as he was previously married to Tania Goddard in the early 90s, followed by Rhian Gittins in the mid-90s and then to Carmen Electra in the 00s.

In other news, earlier this year, the members of Jane’s Addiction appeared to be working on new music together, but without frontman Perry Farrell.
