Sleep Token have shared the latest taste of upcoming album ‘Even In Arcadia’ – check out ‘Damocles’ below.

The masked metal band’s fourth studio album is coming out on May 9 via RCA – you can pre-order/pre-save it now here – and they have already previewed the LP with the singles ‘Caramel’ and ‘Emergence’.

Now, they have the brooding ballad ‘Damocles’, with frontman Vessel delivering the self-reflective lyrics: “When the river runs dry and the curtain is called / How will I know if I can’t see the bottom? / Come up for air and choke on it all / No-one else knows that I’ve got a problem.”

Listen to ‘Damocles’ here:

The single comes just days after the band confirmed the full tracklist for ‘Even In Arcadia’, which you can find here. Earlier this month, Sleep Token scored their first-ever UK top 10 single with ‘Caramel’.

The band are gearing up to headline Download Festival 2025 alongside Green Day and Korn this summer. In July, drummer II will appear at Black Sabbath’s final-ever concert in Birmingham.

Sleep Token will then embark on a North American headline tour in the autumn. Find any remaining tickets here.

Speaking about Sleep Token stepping up to top the bill at Download, festival boss Andy Copping told NME: “It was seeing their meteoric rise over the last two years that made me think, ‘This is a band that deserves to be elevated’.

“They’ve got a sold-out arena tour in a couple of weeks which we already know will be a sight to behold.”

‘Even In Arcadia’ will follow on from 2023’s ‘Take Me Back To Eden’, which earned a glowing five-star review from NME. It read: “There are more risks on ‘Take Me Back To Eden’ than Sleep Token have ever taken before, but there’s never an opportunity to doubt whether anything they attempt will succeed.

“It’s an ambitious, emotional monolith of a record, with all the hallmarks of future classic status.”

NME gave last month’s ‘Emergence’ four stars, saying that the single “proves metal’s new kings remain fearless as ever”.

It added: “‘Emergence’ might be their first release on major label RCA, but there’s no sense of anything commercial seeping into their sound. Nor are there any signs of a safe approach, given the pressure of expectation around ‘Even In Arcadia’.
