Beyoncé brought out her rarely-seen daughter Rumi for the opening night of her ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour.

The singer kicked off her tour for ‘Cowboy Carter’ at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California last night (April 28). Clocking in at nearly three hours, Bey performed 36 songs celebrating her most recent album of the same name, which dropped last year in March – you can check out the full setlist here.

Notably, the singer also brought out her daughter Rumi during her performance of the song ‘Protector’. Rumi is the youngest daughter of Beyoncé and twins with brother Sir.

Sporting a gold dress with matching gold cowboy boots, Rumi was serenaded by her mother throughout the song, which saw Bey singing: “And I will lead you down that road if you lose your way / Born to be your protector”.

Hugging Rumi on stage with her eldest Blue Ivy cradling the pair above them, She went on to wave excitedly to the crowd as Blue Ivy guided her off the stage.

Meanwhile, elder sister Blue Ivy also came out and performed alongside Beyoncé, continuing her dance work on the previous ‘Renaissance’ tour. She performed during ‘America Has A Problem’ and was given her own dance break during ‘Deja Vu’, to the praise of social media.

When ‘Cowboy Carter’ first dropped last year, NME gave it five stars, writing: “It’s an undeniable thrill to see her swing so big on a project that dares her to be so intimate and vocal-focused, while making way for country’s up-and-comers too.”

Beyoncé will continue to take her record-breaking ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour throughout the US, Europe and the UK including a residency at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in June. Get US and UK/EU tickets here and here and see all of Bey’s future dates down below:
