Kneecap have shared details of a huge show at London’s Wembley Arena. Find out more below.
The new concert will mark the Irish hip-hop trio’s biggest England show to date and will see them perform at the 12,500-capacity venue on Thursday, September 18.
“All London heads,” said the controversial rappers announcing the show. “Our biggest headline show outside of Ireland will take place on September 18 at the OVO Wembley Arena. The belly of the beast – let’s go!”
It comes following the band making headlines across 2025 and recently dropping their politically charged new single ‘The Recap’ featuring Mozey.
Tickets will go on sale at 10am BST on Friday (June 6), and pre-sale options will commence tomorrow (June 4) at the same time. Check out the new tour poster below, and visit here to buy tickets to the gig.
The band are no strangers to headlining arenas, having sold out the largest Irish language gig in the city’s history in their native Belfast back in December – where they were joined by Fontaines D.C.’s Grian Chatten.
The date at Wembley adds to the band’s already-packed schedule for this year. This summer they will play a number of huge shows with follow Irish band Fontaines D.C., including a stop at the Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast.
The two are also set to appear together at London’s Finsbury Park this summer, with Kneecap joining Fontaines as special guests for their headline show in the UK capital. They will then play a huge outdoor show together at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park.
Another big show coming up for Kneecap is an appearance at 2000Trees festival, which will take place at Upcote Farm in Cheltenham between July 9-12. That slot will see them co-headline the festival alongside PVRIS on Thursday, July 10. Later this month, they are also expected to play at Glastonbury 2025.
Kneecap headlined Wide Awake Festival in London last month, shortly after a warm-up show at the 100 Club.
The huge gig in London this September also comes as the band have courted controversy – both for their set at Coachella – which supposedly “blindsided” festival organisers – and for resurfaced footage of some 2024 shows, which allegedly saw them display a flag in support of the proscribed terrorist organisation Hezbollah.
The latter saw Mo Chara, one of the members, charged by the Metropolitan Police with a terror offence, and numerous live shows cancelled.
The band have consistently denied supporting either Hamas or Hezbollah, and stated that they would not incite or condone violence against any individuals. They have also argued that the footage had been taken out of context, while describing the legal action as a “carnival of distraction”.
Chara – real name Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh – is due to appear at Westminster Crown Court on June 18. He has jokingly encouraged fans to gather at Westminster with “a big bag of ket” for the hearing.
