Tame Impala previews trippy new techno song ‘Not My World’ at Mexico City DJ set

Tame Impala has previewed a trippy new techno song called ‘Not My World’ at his Mexico City DJ set.

The psychedelic music project of Australian musician Kevin Parker has shared a snippet of the new song on Instagram.

There, Parker soundtracked the video of his set for Cercle at the city’s famous Parque Quetzalcóatl on October 10 with the song. Fans have identified the song as being called ‘Not My World’, which incorporates eerie, detuned chimes and rising hi-hats that give way to a thumping techno beat and light, airy synths.

“CDMX.. I’m gonna remember this forever,” Parker captioned the video. “Be back soon”.

Parker is due to release his fifth studio album ‘Deadbeat‘ on Friday (October 17). So far, he’s released the tracks ‘End Of Summer‘, ‘Loser‘ and ‘Dracula‘ to preview the album.

Parker will shortly be embarking on a huge tour to support ‘Deadbeat’.

He’ll kick off his North American arena tour with two nights at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on October 31 and November 1.

From there, Tame Impala will head to Chicago’s United Center (November 3), Austin’s Moody Center (6), San Diego’s Pechanga Arena (9), Los Angeles’ Kia Forum (11, 12), and Oakland Arena (14).

Then, he’ll commence a leg in the UK and Europe in April 2026, starting off at Portugal’s Super Bock Arena on April 4.

After passing through cities like Madrid, Bologna, Berlin, Paris and more, he’ll land in London to start his run of UK dates at the O2 Arena on May 7. Parker will then visit Manchester (8), Birmingham (9) and Glasgow (11) before finishing off with a final show at Dublin’s 3Arena (13).
