Britney Spears appears to have deactivated her Instagram account.
The pop star has regularly posted on the social media platform for years now, and frequently got fans talking by sharing clips of her dancing in her home.
Now, it looks as though she has deleted her account, as on Saturday (November 1), the page with the handle @britneyspears and with the screenname XILA MARIA RIVER RED now shows an error link.
When clicking on the account page, none of the prior posts are accessible and a message now pops up that reads: “Profile isn’t available. The link may be broken, or the profile may have been removed.”
It is not yet clear whether the account has been deactivated by Spears herself, or if it has been suspended or deleted by Instagram as a potential violation of community guidelines.

The update comes as Kevin Federline, who was married to Spears between 2004 and 2007 and shares two sons with her, Sean Preston and Jayden James, recently made a number of accusations against her.
In his new memoir You Thought You Knew, Federline claimed via The New York Times, that he was concerned over Spears’ current “situation,” which he believes is “racing toward something irreversible”, and then accused her of using cocaine during a period when she was breastfeeding.
Britney responded to Federline’s comments in a lengthy post on X/Twitter, saying that the “constant gaslighting” from her ex-husband has been “extremely hurtful and exhausting”.
In a follow-up post, she also implied that Federline is trying to “profit off my pain”. “I 100 percent beg to differ the way he is literally attacking me in his interviews,” she added. See the full statement above.
Metro also reports that the deleted Instagram account comes after Spears made two posts that left fans concerned. One saw her discuss the 2014 film Maleficent, and say that she thinks she may have suffered brain damage, and went through “a lot” more difficulty than she detailed in her memoir, but has kept it “hidden because its incredibly painful and sad”.
The second allegedly saw her appear on camera with visible bruises and explain that they were there as she “I fell down the stairs at my friend’s house”.
In other Britney Spears news, the singer claimed that she had adopted a “beautiful baby girl” named Lennon London Spears in a social media video in July.
