Katy Perry has announced a 2025 UK tour, with £1 from every ticket going to Music Venue Trust (MVT). Check out all the dates and ticket information below.
Announced today (November 18), the shows follow the release of Perry’s seventh studio album ‘143‘ earlier this year, and see her commit to protecting the grassroots venues she played at the beginning of her career.
The singer shared that she’s “so incredibly chuffed” to bring ‘The Lifetimes Tour’ to the UK, adding: “I can’t wait to have a big sing along of all the songs you love and more! It’s going to be a giant dance party, and everyone’s invited!”
Her relationship to the UK’s grassroots scene stems from her first performances in the country in 2008, when she played in small venues across London. On her decision to support MVT, she said: “I’m proud to donate £1 from every ticket on the UK leg of ‘The Lifetimes Tour’ to Music Venue Trust so that venues like Water Rats and Scala, where I played my first UK shows, can continue to usher in the next generation of music talent.”

Mark Davyd, CEO of Music Venue Trust said: “We want to say a huge thank you to Katy and her team for stepping up to support grassroots music venues, artists and promoters. The contribution from these shows will keep venues open, get new and emerging artists out on tour, and enable promoters to bring the best in new music to our communities.”

Perry’s contribution to the charity follows the likes of Coldplay, Enter Shikari and Sam Fender also adopting a levy on their own tours to help save the grassroots, after 2023 proved to be “disastrous” and the worst year on record with 125 grassroots music venues shutting their doors – a rate of two per week.
Music Venue Trust argued that a tidal wave of closures threatens the fabric of the UK music scene thanks to the recent budget announcement, with the circuit and artists already suffering from “the complete collapse of touring“.
Last week, the Culture, Media and Sport Committee welcomed the UK government’s new backing of a levy on gigs at arena level and above to help save the grassroots music scene.
The model, similar to the one seen in the Premiere League of football and already in use in several countries across Europe, was recommended by MPs after a DCMS investigation back in Spring.
The pressure is now mounting for a clear deadline for the music industry to take urgent action.
In other Katy Perry news, in September she received the coveted Video Vanguard Award at the 2024 MTV VMAs.
Her most recent album, ‘143‘, was described by NME as “a record that sometimes hits the target but rarely leaves a lasting impression.
“Pop fans have a fondness for resurrecting “flop” albums that were given short shrift when they first came out: Mariah Carey’s ill-fated soundtrack album ‘Glitter’ and Christina Aguilera’s sonic hodgepodge ‘Bionic’ have both become cult classics of sorts. But even this fate seems unlikely for ‘143’, a serviceable but slightly dull collection on which Perry struggles to relocate her old sense of fun.”
