The Killers announce three ‘Hot Fuss’ Las Vegas shows for 2025 – with plans to film them

The Killers have announced three more ‘Hot Fuss’ shows in Las Vegas for next year, and will be filming the final two – buy tickets here.

The indie rockers celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut album this year by playing it in full across 10 shows at The Colosseum in Caesar’s Palace, and they’ll be returning to their home city in January for three more “encore” gigs on January 22, 24, and 25.

Announced on social media yesterday (November 19), they wrote: “We liked our Vegas show so much that we’re coming back for a limited run in January. We’re filming the final two shows to preserve it for posterity, so come join us and be part of history as we play ‘Hot Fuss’ in its entirety three more times.”

The original 10 ‘Hot Fuss’ shows ran from August 14 to September 1, with the band playing ‘Hot Fuss’ in its entirety before another set featuring some of their greatest hits, including ‘Human’, ‘Read My Mind’ and ‘When You Were Young’.

‘Hot Fuss’ was released on June 7, 2004 in the UK and a week later in the US, reaching Number One and Number Seven in the charts respectively. It spawned the successful singles ‘Mr. Brightside’, ‘Somebody Told Me’, ‘All These Things That I’ve Done’, and ‘Smile Like You Mean It’. It was followed two years later by ‘Sam’s Town’, while The Killers’ most recent studio album was 2021’s ‘Pressure Machine’.

Meanwhile, ‘Rebel Diamonds’, their second greatest hits album, came last December. Speaking to NME shortly after ‘Rebel Diamonds’ came out, frontman Brandon Flowers discussed the success of the album 20 years on, saying: “We were always a little different from the other Vegas bands back then because I noticed that there was this competition and rivalry between local bands.”

“I wasn’t thinking about them – I was thinking about The White Stripes, The Strokes, and Oasis … We were different, and we were ambitious. Ambition can be seen as an ugly thing to some people but it has served us well. We were able to persevere and it’s kind of unbelievable.”

He said of his career: “I’ve been caught up in this whirlwind for 20 years; in this cycle of touring, writing, touring and writing. The most time we had to reflect was during COVID, and it was quite an awakening process to get time to look through all that we’d done. I’m really proud of the band and the work.”

Flowers also discussed making his as-yet-unreleased third solo album, too, saying: “I feel like it embodies a little bit of my first two solo records, but obviously there’s so much more living that I’ve done in the seven years since my last effort. I’ve got a lot more insight and things that I’ve absorbed. I’m really loving how it’s turning out.”
