86TVs have cancelled the remainder of their UK tour after drummer Jamie Morrison was rushed to hospital.
The band were nearing the end of their 2024 tour, with dates remaining in Manchester, Bristol, London, Cambridge and Leeds scheduled up until December 1. However, they have announced to fans that the tour had ended early today (November 26).
Taking to Twitter/X, they wrote: “We had quite a dramatic day yesterday when, minutes before doors opened in Nottingham, Jamie was rushed into hospital. He is still in there and has been strongly advised by doctors to not attempt to do the shows this week.
“We are all heartbroken about this – the shows on this run really have been our best ever – but obviously health comes first. Please send your love and get wells to one of the best to ever do it.”
They went on to say: “Huge apologies to anyone who has made plans for these shows, especially with long distance travel. We know there are a number of you that have had plans around this for a long time and were planning on sending off this record with us this week.”
Ticketholders can contact their point of purchase for a refund.

86TVs, comprised of Morrison, The Maccabees members Hugo and Felix White and their brother Will, shared their self-titled debut album earlier this year.
In October, The Maccabees confirmed the news of their comeback in the form of a gig at Victoria Park on August 24, marking their first performance together in eight years and the 10th anniversary of their fourth and final album, ‘Marks To Prove It’.
During an interview with NME this summer, Felix was asked if there were any plans in the works to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the last Maccabees album.
“I haven’t spoken to anyone about it,” he replied. “Sometimes someone from Fiction, the label that put our records out, says, ‘This is an anniversary for that’. But no one’s got in touch with me about [the 10th anniversary].
“I like the classic album tours that people do – I’m really into that. So it’s a weird one with The Maccabees, yeah. We’re not doing any of that. We’re sort of just doing our own lives, which feels pretty good. Where we left it at Ally Pally… it’d be so difficult to replicate.”

The afternoon show is a fun mix of Top 40 hits and fun show segments getting you through your work day Monday-Saturday from 2p-6p.
