Liam Gallagher is once again suggesting a new Oasis album could be coming, but it will depend on if he and Noel are “kind to one another”.
Since the Britpop icons announced their highly-awaited return to the stage earlier this year, Liam has repeatedly teased a potential new album down the line.
In September, when one fan asked “Is it true that Oasis will have a new album???”, Liam replied: “Yep, it’s already finished.” He also responded to a fan asking if a new record was “in the air”, to which he said, “It’s in the bag mate fuck the air”.
Then, in November, he told fans on Twitter/X that he was “blown away” by the material Noel had written for the record. A comment he made back in April also resurfaced after the comeback announcement, in which he suggested Oasis would be recording a new album in November.
However, he soon backtracked on his earlier claims, telling fans in November there was “no Oasis album in the making” and that he “was fucking joking”.
Now though, it seems an album is back on the cards. Liam responded to a post on Twitter/X earlier today (December 19) suggesting the band will “do what the Stone Roses did in 2012″ by hinting at an LP is coming but then “vanish” after the shows, saying: “for your information cocker no body promised you an album.”
He then added: “I reckon we nail this tour and be kind to 1 another there could be an album this is what real bands do let’s just take 1 step at a time I think youde agree that was the wisest move”
Prior to that, Liam told followers he wants the tour to be “a success” and for fans “to go home as high as a kite”.
As for how he’s feeling in the lead-up to the shows, the singer said he was “Zen as fuck I’ll start firing up the engines around MAY can’t wait just wanna get on that stage and rip it up to ras.”
He also responded to a fan quoting Noel’s remarks that there “won’t be any fallouts” or “fighting” in the reunion, saying “War is over”.

While Liam is known for being light-hearted and flippant on X/Twitter, and his tweets fall well short of any official confirmation, he does have form in leaking clues to the news before it becomes public knowledge, having initially teased the band’s reunion and their UK and Ireland 2025 tour dates before both were officially confirmed.
Fans are still hopeful though, given the history of Liam’s tweets coming to fruition. This includes him mentioning the photoshoot he was doing with Noel ahead of the return announcement, and hinting at the band playing some big Manchester shows, before anything was made official.
More recently, he also teased that both Richard Ashcroft and Cast could potentially support Oasis, both of which again ended up becoming official.
So far, the tour consists of a string of huge stadium gigs in the UK and Ireland to take place next summer, shortly followed by dates in North America, South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan.
Following the revelation that they’d be returning, Oasis ruled out a headline performance at Glastonbury 2025 and said they won’t be appearing at any other festivals next summer. Liam and Noel have also shot down rumours of a return to Knebworth in 2026.
The post Liam Gallagher says there “could be an album” from Oasis “if we nail this tour and be kind to one another” appeared first on NME.
