Cameron Winter has announced new headline solo shows in the UK, France and the US. Find all the details below.
The Geese frontman is due to hit the road in the States next week in support of his debut solo album ‘Heavy Metal’, which was released last December.
Now, the Brooklyn artist has shared details of the ‘Heavy Metal Tour Continued’ this spring. On this leg, Winter will take to the stage in Baltimore (April 17), Boston (19) and New York (22).
He’ll then head to the UK for a pair of intimate headline gigs at St Matthias Church in North London on April 24 and 25. The musician will follow this performance with a show at La Halles Aux Oliviers in Paris on April 29.
A press release said of the latter three dates: “The atmospheric venues are the perfect environment to experience the album live for the first time and for Cameron to showcase his eclectic influences and surreal mosaic of modern songwriting and storytelling.”
Tickets are on general sale now – you can buy yours here. Check out the announcement post below.

Speaking to NME last November, Winter explained that his musical inspiration came partly from his “traumatic childhood”, and discussed the differences between creating solo work and making music with Geese.
“Well, some parts are easier and some parts are harder,” he said. “With Geese, when you’re working on full songs with multiple people, the songs themselves have to have certain beats that everyone understands and knows and can revolve around whereas, when I was doing it myself, I would sort of just throw all that out the window.
“For Geese songs, I’m really prepared and for this, I was not prepared, which made things more difficult.”
Winter continued: “I was just like, ‘I don’t have to teach these things to anyone. I could just figure it out on my own and it could all exist in my head’, and led to something that was that’s a little more impressionistic, than a lot of the Geese stuff, which ended up being fine, but was also really fucking stressful.
“A lot of these songs sucked for a long time due to me not writing them before I recorded them. There was a lot of reverse-engineering from just like me banging on a piano. I had to make the songs out of that and you can kind of hear it on the record. Everything’s stitched together and kind of weird.”
In other news, Geese covered Television‘s ‘Marquee Moon’ and Green Day‘s ‘American Idiot’ during their annual Geesefest residency in NYC last December.
Geese starred on NME‘s The Cover last year, where they spoke about their versatile approach to creating music.
