Rico Nasty has announced her new rap-rock album ‘Lethal’ – find out more below.
The Maryland-born singer-rapper made the announcement yesterday (February 20) through social media, confirming that it will release on May 16. The album will be her first with Fueled By Ramen, and will see her take on a heavier rock-influenced sound.
The album will consist of 15 tracks and is available for pre-order on silver saw blade vinyl and pre-saving on digital streaming platforms now.
The album announcement is accompanied by the record’s first preview, the grungy single ‘Teethsucker (Yea3x)’ and its music video. In the crisp video, Rico Nasty is seen splashing a group of people with a water hose in dramatic slow motion.
Check out the music video below.
In a press statement, Rico Nasty said about the album: “This album is about being confident and saying fuck everybody else. It’s about getting doors slammed in your face and people telling you to try it their way again and again, and you stay true to yourself and it works. That’s what this project is. It’s an ode to yourself.”
The album’s tracklist has been revealed, though it is currently unclear if it will feature any guest musicians.

In a three-star review of Rico Nasty’s 2022 mixtape ‘Las Ruinas’, Dhruva Balram wrote for NME: “Despite its strong start, the sagging back end of ‘Las Ruinas’ unfortunately means that this mixtape isn’t likely to stick in the memory for long – here’s hoping Rico comes back stronger next time.”
