Sergio Pizzorno performs with Kasabian and Noel Fielding

Noel Fielding has joined Kasabian on stage in London, and joked about doing shots of Jaeger with Prue Leith while backstage. Check out footage of the moment below.

The moment took place last night (February 25) as the band took to the stage at Shepherds Bush Empire for the BRITs Week War Child gigs – raising money to protect and educate children impacted by conflict.

Following Blossoms opening the night, Kasabian kicked off their set with renditions of classic tracks like ‘Call’, ‘Club Foot’, ‘Ill Ray (The King)’ and ‘Underdog’. It was later on in their 19-song set that the band caught fans off guard by bringing out Noel Fielding as a surprise guest.

The television presenter, Mighty Boosh actor, comedian and Great British Bake Off host took to the stage after the performance of ‘Empire’, and was seen giving frontman Serge Pizzorno a hug before speaking to the audience.

“Shepherds Bush? Shepherds Boosh!” he said, making a nod to his hit comedy series The Mighty Boosh. “It’s all kicking off backstage. Me and Prue just did Jaegerbombs,” he added, referring to the Great British Bake Off judge.

In footage of the moment shared on social media, members of the crowd can then be heard chanting “We want Prue”, before the band begin playing ‘Vlad The Impaler’.

This isn’t the first time that Fielding has been seen with the band, as he also starred in the original music video for ‘Vlad The Impaler’ back in 2009, and made many guest appearances at Kasabian shows in the time since.

Kasabian are just one of the numerous bands putting on shows for BRITs Week 25 For War Child, delivered by DHL. Other artists getting involved with London shows this week include Nova Twins, Soft Play, Rachel Chinouriri, Joy Crookes, Clean Bandit, Cat Burns and Frank Turner.

Since BRITs Week launched in 2009, more than £7.4million has been raised for War Child. “Right now, it’s the deadliest time to be a child. It is estimated that one in five children are currently living in, or fleeing from conflict,” explained the charity.

“But there is hope. With your support, War Child can help children put the pieces back together. By experiencing the thrill and excitement of the intimate, one-off performances, you will be directly contributing to helping these children rebuild their lives.”

As for Kasabian, the band are set to perform with Blossoms again this spring when they head out on their upcoming Australian headline tour. The dates come in celebration of their latest album ‘Happenings’.

In a four-star review of the LP, NME wrote: “At just 28 minutes in length, Kasabian’s eighth studio effort is concise, precise and generally focused. This allows a vibrant emotional clarity to bleed through its swaggering fabric, adding up to Kasabian’s strongest album in some years.”

The release followed on from a secret set that they played at the Woodsies stage at Glastonbury 2024, which marked their fifth appearance at Worthy Farm.

In an interview with NME, the frontman called Glastonbury “the greatest festival”, and noted that the appearance marked “one of the greatest days in this band’s history”, previewing their new record while covering dance classics such as Deee-Lite’s ‘Groove Is In The Heart’.
