Fontaines D.C. reveal full line-up for huge London Finsbury Park show

Fontaines D.C. have revealed the full line-up for their huge show at London’s Finsbury Park this summer. Check it out below.

The Dublin band’s outdoor gig in the capital will take place on Saturday July 5, marking their biggest headline performance to date. They’ll be joined by the previously announced special guests Amyl And The Sniffers and Kneecap.

Today (April 9), three more support acts have been added to the bill: Blondshell, NYC indie outfit Been Stellar, and fellow Irish group Cardinals.

LA-based singer-songwriter Blondshell – real name Sabrina Teitelbaum – is labelmates with Fontaines D.C. on Partisan. She is currently gearing up to release her second album, ‘If You Asked For A Picture’, on May 2. The former NME Cover star recently shared another single from the forthcoming project, ’23’s A Baby’.

Been Stellar have also graced the Cover of NME, and released their debut LP ‘Scream From New York, NY’ last summer via Dirty Hit. They later opened for Fontaines D.C. on the North American leg of their 2024 ‘Romance’ tour.

Speaking to NME about the ‘Favourite’ band’s evolution, frontman Sam Slocum explained: “We really respect it. For a band that is four albums in, it’s cool to reinvent what people think of you as a group. It is really cool to see a band do that.”

Skyler Knapp added: “If you’re not challenging your fans, in some way, you’re gonna kind of end up being very stagnant. So I really respect that they’re able to do that.”

NME 100 2025 alumni Cardinals, who are from Cork, released their self-titled debut EP last June via So Young. They later followed up the collection with the single ‘Get It’.

In addition to their massive gig in London, the band are due to play outdoor headline concerts at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester, Cardiff Castle, and Exhibition Park in Newcastle.

Speaking to NME upon releasing their standalone single ‘It’s Amazing To Be Young’ in February, the group teased that there could be a few surprises in store for fans at their upcoming dates.

“I think we’ll get up and play the set as usual for the most-part,” explained bassist Conor Deegan III. “We would like to expand it but we’ll have to see what we can afford to do! They are going to be great gigs and we have a couple of things in mind, but I wouldn’t like to spoil it to be honest.”

Last month saw Fontaines D.C. win the International Group Of The Year award at the BRITs 2025. At this year’s Grammys, their acclaimed latest record ‘Romance’ was nominated for Best Rock Album – but ultimately lost out to The Rolling Stones’ ‘Hackney Diamonds’.

Speaking about the defeat recently, guitarist Carlos O’Connell conceded: “They’re a great band though. It’s a bit mad but, at the same time it is The Rolling Stones […] I think we need to turn 40 to get the Grammy.”

This week, ‘Romance’ landed at Number Four on the list of best-selling vinyl albums of 2025 so far. At the end of last year, NME named the LP the second-best album of 2024 behind Charli XCX‘s ‘BRAT’.

Discussing ‘It’s Amazing To Be Young’ with NME in February, Deegan explained: “I’m glad it got to see the light of day, because it’s a special song to us. More so for the way it was written than the song itself, in a weird way. It started life in the presence of Carlos’ newborn and it’s just a message for her, you know.”

He continued: “It was really heartwarming. Sometimes as people we can be a bit cynical. The world around us can make you that way if you’re paying attention to it. Sometimes optimism feels like a necessary delusion, but with the birth of a new child we were introduced to a really pure and deep beauty and hope that can’t be debated away by anyone jaded or even by ourselves.”
