Megan Thee Stallion has announced a new single, ‘Whatever’, which is set to be released later this week. Find all the details below

Off the back of her high-octane Coachella performances over the last two weekends, Megan has revealed that her latest single will be released on Friday (April 25). It marks the first taste of her upcoming album ‘Megan: Act III’.

The ‘Savage’ rapper shared the news on Saturday (April 19), posting the track’s movie poster-style artwork, which features the text: “It’s whatever b—-, it’s whenever h–!”

The poster depicts her in a two-piece outfit and a cowgirl hat, with a chessboard, an old-fashioned car and two human/fish hybrids in the background. It follows another brief teaser clip shared a week ago, which showed the rapper sitting on the car with said fish people standing by as bodyguard-esque figures, while a snippet of music plays. Check it out below.

Little is known about the upcoming album, but Megan did share earlier this month that she would love to collaborate with Doechii for the LP.

“Act III is being made,” she told fans on a recent livestream. “I’m really just trying to figure out who do I want to do features with at this point in life. I only want to do features with people that … one, I haven’t done a feature with yet, and two, that I listen to on my own time — people that I actually, you know, fuck with.”

Viewers then began suggesting she join forces with Doechii, to which she responded: “I see Doechii, bitch, I love Doechii.”

“I do want to do a song with Doechii,” she added. “That’s on my list. That’s on my album wish list.”

‘ACT III’ will follow 2024’s ‘Megan: Act II’, which received a glowing five-star review from NME, reading: “On ‘Act II’, Megan confirms why she’s “the baddest bitch out right now” once again.

“Despite all the adversity that has plagued her in recent years, she firmly stands atop the rap world as the princess of rap, gazing down from her pedestal while polishing her tiara – maybe there’s a coronation on the horizon very soon.”

The LP also made it onto NME‘s 50 Best Albums of 2024 list, while the track ‘Hiss’ cinched the Number 10 spot in our 50 Best Songs of 2024 roundup.

In other news, Megan’s Coachella set saw her bring out a handful of guests, including Courtney LaPlante, lead vocalist of metal band Spiritbox, for the live debut of their collaboration ‘TYG’, as well as Queen LatifahVictoria Monét and Ciara.

Following her weekend two performance, she joined forces with Cara Delevingne and Renée Rapp to recreate a viral photo of them as her “lesbian bodyodyguards”.
