Haim announced their fourth album ‘I Quit’ during a show in LA last night (April 23), where they also debuted a new track called ‘Blood On The Street’ and performed their recent singles. Check out the footage below.

The sister trio took to the stage at The Bellwether – “LA’s premier independent music venue” – for their first full gig since September 2023. They’ll return to the 1,500-capacity venue tonight (April 24) for a second date.

After promising “a fun week” ahead, Haim kicked off the performance with an intro video displaying the phrase “I quit” – which they had also been posting on social media.

The clip went on to display numerous variations of the line, including “I quit what does not serve me”, “I quit overthinking”, “I quit shame”, “I quit dick” and “I quit caring about what you think”.

At the end of the visuals, the following announcement appeared: “I quit new haim album coming June 20th.” The apparent title, ‘I Quit’, then popped up once more before Haim came out on stage.

The group captured the moment and later shared it online – you can watch it below.

Haim’s first LA comeback gig began with the live debut of their latest single ‘Everybody’s Trying To Figure Me Out’, and ended with the first play of last month’s ‘Relationships’ (per Setlist.FM).

Additionally, the band played the track ‘Down To Be Wrong’ – which is set to be released later today – and aired another new tune titled ‘Blood On The Street’, featuring a guest appearance from Addison Rae.

Haim also treated fans to various songs from across their career – including ‘The Wire’, ‘Want You Back’, ‘Forever’, ‘Summer Girl’, ‘Gasoline’, ‘My Song 5’ and ‘Now I’m In It’. See a selection of videos here:

The trio’s “rock”-influenced ‘I Quit’ will follow on from 2020’s ‘Women In Music Pt. III’. They reunited with producer Rostam Batmanglij (Vampire WeekendClairo) on the forthcoming project.

During a recent interview, Haim revealed that their new album would feature a sample of George Michael’s classic track ‘Freedom! ’90’ – which had yet to be cleared.

The song in question, titled ‘Gone’, serves as the opener to the record, and reportedly captures the feeling of clarity after a break-up. The LP will also feature a cut called ‘Take Me Back’.

Alana Haim told I-D that the upcoming record was “the closest we’ve ever gotten to how we wanted to sound”, adding that it was a “completely different experience” recording this time around.

Recalling the process, frontwoman Danielle explained: “Working with Rostam, in general it’s very quick, kinetic with him, which I really love as an artist. Maybe before, it wasn’t that way, it was kind of a more… longer, searching, laboured situation.”

Haim also have slots lined up at Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2025, and Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Porto. One of their last performances before their return in LA was a headline set at London’s All Points East in 2023.
