Justin Bieber hits out at online “gossip” and “lies” about his life after attending Coachella

Justin Bieber has hit back at what he calls “gossip” and “lies” about his private life after his attendance at Coachella 2025.

A certain amount of speculation has flourished online in recent days after the ‘Sorry’ singer appeared at the California festival, where he was seen smoking and dancing topless with other revellers.

Bieber has dismissed any concerns, writing on his Instagram Stories on Thursday (April 24) that his faith is steering him through the process of dealing with external criticism.

“The feeling of guilt can be relieved,” he wrote. “How? Not by going to church or reading ur Bible. But just receive that God forgives. They treat me like ass out here, but I remember that I am flawed and God forgave me.”

“It helps me to stop feeling better than those who are mean and hurtful because when I’m really honest, I can be mean and hurtful too,” he added. “My instinct is to be like, ‘Damn I wouldn’t gossip and spread lies about someone on the internet,’ but there’s other shit I do I’m not proud of.”

He went on to address reports of a rift developing in his marriage with Hailey Bieber, adding: “And honestly if I was you it would be hard not to be jealous if I saw me and Hailey going so brazzzzyy.”

In another post on Friday (April 25), he added: “Everyone telling me to move from LA. U think I’m gonna get bullied to leave where my influence is most needed? How can we make a change if we run away from the darkness?”

“I just want to be submerged in the culture learning from any and everyone,” he continued. “And be a proponent and advocate for LOVE AND EQUALITY”.

Bieber’s posts come just days after his team dismissed reports that he is in financial distress and “more than $20million” in debt. His representatives called the reports “ill-informed” and “clickbait stupidity”.

The singer also shared another message recently in which he said he “hates” himself when he feels that he is becoming “inauthentic”, before adding: “Then I remember we’re all being made to think we’re not enough but I still hate when I change myself to please people.”

As well as comments about his health, there have also been reports that Bieber is back in the studio and planning a major comeback soon. These were heightened when he was seen in the studio at the start of the new year, and again when Mk.gee revealed that he had been working with the singer on new material.

If the studio output comes together as a full album, it will be his first studio release since 2021’s ‘Justice’.
