This past weekend (April 25), the band played their first-ever show at Sneaky Dees in Toronto, Canada. A setlist isn’t yet available to public, as the band performed all original and un-released songs. Check out videos of the band’s set below.
To kick off the set, Matheson introduced the band to the Toronto audience before smashing a microphone stand: “We’re Pig Pen. We’ve never played before. You’ve never even heard us. So what the fuck is up, Toronto? You wanna get nuts? Let’s fucking get nuts!”
Besides starring in The Bear as handyman Neil Fak, Matheson also serves as the hit FX show’s culinary advisor and executive producer. He is also a celebrity chef, a restauranteur, an internet personality and an author.
In a four-star review of The Bear‘s third season, James Mottram wrote for NME: “Cracking along with its usual mix of slow-burns and fast-spurts, the balance in season three is just right. From Marcus poignantly delivering the eulogy at his mother’s funeral to Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) dealing with her father as she settles on a new place to live to the pregnancy of Carmy’s sister Natalie (Abby Elliott), everyone gets a moment or two to shine. Once again, The Bear has come out of the oven baked to perfection; its pursuit of excellence puts other shows to shame.”
