The sex toys launched by Ghost in time for Mother’s Day have fully sold out.

The range was first shared by merchandising site Rockabilia, and saw the Tobias Forge-led metal group share a raunchy new package designed for Mother’s Day 2025. Described as “the MOTHER of all Ghost Merch”, it came featuring a new range of Ghost-styled dildos, aptly named ‘Ghildos’.

While not the go-to gift idea for Mother’s Day, there was some wholesome sentiment with the release, as it also came with a punk t-shirt showing a mother and child, as well as a card that read “She is the light, the warmth, the power. Without her, I am lost. Hail mom” (via Loudwire).

Surprisingly enough, there was huge demand for the range and the number of units was bumped up from 300 to 666. It has now been reported that it has fully sold out, and prompted a range of responses from Ghost fans.

“I was never more locked in than I was today placing this order,” one fan on X/Twitter wrote, while another added: “I want five please, one for every Papa!”

Another claimed that they missed out on the launch, which reportedly was all purchased within less than five minutes. “Sold out in four minutes,” they wrote. “I guess I’ll buy it for 200 dollars on eBay in a few months.”

The inclusion of sex toys in their online store is by no means a new thing for Ghost. Back in 2013, the masked metal band first released the Phallos Mortuus box set – a bible-bound package containing a dildo shaped after Papa Emeritus and a bronze butt plug. It was shared to celebrate the release of their second record, ‘Infestissumam’, which was shared that year.

Then, in 2023 they brought the merch back around for a 10th-anniversary edition. Coming in at  $225 (£177), it came with a bible box case with gold embossed artwork and red velvet lining, a butt plug and dildo, a brushed metal logo pin, and a “divorce paper scroll with customised Ghost foil emblem”.

They join other artists who have launched adult toys as part of their merchandise range, including Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe, Rammstein, Motörhead and the late SOPHIE.

Speaking about the decision with Metal Hammer in 2017, one of the band’s Nameless Ghouls said: “Hopefully most of our merchandise is good, although occasionally something slips through – a shitty keyring or something! But, sometimes you just have to have fun with a dildo!”

As for other Ghost news, the band have recently shared their highly anticipated sixth album ‘Skeletá’ and embarked on their huge, phone-free UK and European tour dates to celebrate the release.

The record was given a four-star from NME – which described it as seeing the band “broaden their musical scope and explore a tapestry of human emotion”.

“While it may not boast the same instant hooks of some earlier albums, the latest offering does instead offer something more substantial,” it read. “Through a rich exploration of genres and a new level of emotional depth, it becomes clear that ‘Skeletá’ was made with a new vision in mind, and comes as the promising start of a new Ghost chapter.”

It has since gone on to top the charts – beating off competition from Stereophonics. As reported by Billboard, the LP making its way to the top of the Billboard 200 Album Chart doesn’t just mark Ghost’s first chart-topping record, it also makes it the first hard rock album to reach Number One in over four years. The last band to do so was AC/DC, who hit the top of the charts with 2020’s ‘Power Up’.

Ahead of the album release Tobias Forge spoke to NME about the inspiration for album six, and shared how there may be a potential change on the way for the Ghost lore.  “I think that there might be an end to the storytelling because it’s not productive to have this endless soap opera. If fans need the lore in order to like the band, then that element will probably be over quite soon,” he revealed.

Elsewhere in the same interview, Forge said Ghost are “living proof” that the concept that “rock is dead” is not true, shared the impact that Black Sabbath had on him, and hinted that he may be thinking about a career in film. Check out the interview in full above, or read it here.
