Rod Stewart has cancelled a second Las Vegas show due to poor health – just weeks before he’s due to perform at Glastonbury.

The 80-year-old singer is due to play the coveted Legends slot at the Worthy Farm festival on Sunday (June 29), where he will make his return since he headlined in 2002.

However, Stewart has shared some concerning health updates in the run-up to the event. Just days ago (June 2), he pulled out of his huge Las Vegas gig at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum Theatre – hours before he was expected on stage.

The show is now rescheduled for June 10, seemingly suggesting that his illness will not affect his upcoming slot at Glasto.

Now, the ‘Sailing’ singer has cancelled his second Las Vegas show tonight (June 5). Taking to social media, Stewart wrote that he was “awfully sorry”, adding: “My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu. Thanks for your love and understanding.”

The full Glastonbury line-up recently dropped, with Neil Young, The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo all confirmed to headline the Pyramid stage this year. Meanwhile, Loyle CarnerCharli XCX and The Prodigy are due to close out the Other Stage.

The line-up also revealed a whopping 56 TBAs, along with a mysterious band called “Patchwork” set to play on the Pyramid stage. It’s been speculated that this band may actually be Haim in disguise. The sister trio are playing an isolated one-off date in Margate on June 27 ahead of their ‘I Quit’ tour starting in September.

Meanwhile, Not Completely Unknown – a Bob Dylan tribute band – have been rumoured to feature Timothée Chalamet as a surprise guest at the festival. It would follow Chalamet’s performance as the singer in the biopic A Complete Unknown, along with his performance of Dylan deep-cuts on Saturday Night Live.

The festival will also feature a “stunning Theatre & Circus show” and their traditional opening ceremonies to kick off this year’s edition.

Elsewhere, Rod Stewart has confirmed a Faces reunion with Ronnie Wood for Glastonbury 2025.
