KoRn have responded after Dave Grohl wore some of their merchandise to announce a new Foo Fighters tour date.
The Foo Fighters frontman took to Instagram recently to announce a new show that had been added to their run of US tour dates. The gig in question was a surprise pop up show held at the Nile Theater in Bakersfield, California last night (Monday November 3).
In the initial teaser post, Grohl took to the official band page to share a photo that showed him from the chin down, wearing one of the iconic sequined KoRn Adidas jumpsuits, made famous by the band’s frontman Jonathan Davis.
Aside from the choice of attire, another nod came in the caption, as the singer wrote: “This time of year always makes me think of Kornfields.” The reference to the band comes as they formed in Bakersfield.
It didn’t take long for the members of KoRn to notice the shoutout from the Foos frontman, and Davis took to the comment soon afterwards to write: “I’ll send you one of mine”.
Drummer Ray Luzier commented too, simply writing “Yes” with a series of emojis, while guitarist Munky followed suit and shared emojis of fire, a red heart, and arms raised.
The latest updates from Foo Fighters come as the band shared details of their forthcoming 2026 North American stadium tour last week (Thursday October 23), and shared a brand new single called ‘Asking For A Friend’.
The announcements came as the band had been hinting that they were “about to take flight” into their next era, and gearing up to share the follow-up to this summer’s stand-alone single, ‘Today’s Song’.
As for KoRn, the band were confirmed as part of the line-up for Sick New World 2026 – joining System Of A Down, Bring Me The Horizon, Evanescence, Marilyn Manson, Ministry, AFI, Knocked Loose, Danny Elfman, Acid Bath, Cypress Hill, Melvins, Mastodon and Underoath. They will also be performing a handful of US headline shows next year too, where they will be joined by Spiritbox and Seven Hours After Violet.
