Oasis, 2025

Liam Gallagher has once again teased more Oasis reunion shows, but suggested that they may not be in 2026.

The Britpop icons kicked off their mammoth ‘Live ‘25’ tour dates earlier this summer with a number of sold-out stadium slots across the UK before heading abroad. Now, as the band have completed their run of Australia tour dates and embark on the final few gigs in South America, Liam has suggested this won’t be the end of the Oasis announcements.

The frontman has added fuel to rumours that there could be more Oasis gigs on the way over the past few months – including at the band’s final shows at Wembley in September, when he told fans “See you next year”, before jokingly slapping himself on the wrist for letting it slip.

Now, he’s got the rumour mill going again by responding to a fan on X/Twitter and suggesting the band have something big in the pipeline.

After being asked if he was feeling “sad that the tour is ending soon”, the singer shared a subtle response that suggests that the band won’t be slowing down just yet. “I’m not actually as I know things you don’t know,” he wrote, before telling fans confused by the response to “google it”.

For those who did google, the first results that pop up are speculation that the band could be touring again in 2026, and rumours that they will be heading back to Knebworth next summer – marking 30 years since they first played their legendary shows there, which sold out in under 24 hours.

When asked directly if his cryptic tweet was “code for ‘we’re going on tour next year’”, Liam put a slight dampener on hopes, writing: “Next year might be a little enthusiastic”.

He also dismissed claims that the reunion was just “for the money” that would come with, telling someone on the app: “Nobody thinks that it’s just fake news everybody knows we’re in it for the people and the good vibrations”.

While nothing has been confirmed yet for 2026, it seemed more plausible than ever that the band would be planning a gig in Knebworth next summer, after a British peer, Lady Taylor of Stevenage, seemingly accidentally revealed the news at the House Of Lords, before quickly backtracking on her comments.

Liam also rounded off his shows in Australia by telling fans that he would “see you again”.

To wrap up the ‘Live ‘25’ tour, Oasis are off to South America later this week for two nights in Buenos Aires, Argentina (November 15 and 16). They’re then heading to Santiago, Chile, on November 19, before concluding with two gigs in São Paulo on November 22 and 23.

These shows will see Bonehead rejoining them after the guitarist, real name Paul Arthurs, took a break from the tour to continue his cancer treatment.

He was given the all-clear from tonsil cancer back in 2022, but shared at the start of October that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year, and would sit out of Oasis’ Asia and Australia shows so he could have “the next phase of care”.

During the most recent run of shows, the band performed with an honorary cut-out of Bonehead and, in his absence, Mike Moore from Liam’s solo band filled in.
