Alex James’ Big Feastival announces 2026 headliners: Basement Jaxx, The Streets and Bastille

Alex James‘ Big Feastival has announced Basement Jaxx, The Streets and Bastille as its 2026 headliners.

The Blur bassist and wine and cheese expert will stage the latest edition of the festival on his Cotswolds farm from August 28-30 2026. The festival also offers “award-winning street food”, food from Michelin-starred chefs, and a programme of family entertainment.

Speaking about this year’s edition, Alex James said: “I’m delighted to welcome everyone back to the farm for the 15th year of Big Feastival and to confirm our three outstanding headliners. Big Feastival brings the very best music, food, and family entertainment together across the August Bank Holiday weekend. Our 2026 edition promises to be the best yet – the perfect way to bring the Summer Holidays to a grandstand finale”.

More musical acts are soon to be announced, along with the full line-up of guest chefs and family entertainment.

Last April, Alex James spoke to NME about his plans to stage the Britpop Classical concert for the festival’s 2025 edition.

Leading the London Concert Orchestra on the closing night, James also recruited two guitarists, two keyboardists, four singers and a number of special guests to sing the anthems of Blur, Oasis, Pulp, Supergrass and many more.

Speaking of his decision to headline with the orchestra, James told us: “Last summer we had Ministry Of Sound Classical headline and it literally fucking blew me away. It’s the best thing we’ve ever had at Feastival. It was all those festival anthems with a symphony orchestra, lasers, lightshow, full production. It was amazing. There was not a dry eye in the house.

“And I started thinking well maybe if we got some special guests involved and the team behind that, we could rock the party because a lot of those songs do feature string sections and brass sections. I don’t want to completely reimagine it, I just want to bring out the best of those songs.”

Previous headliners of Big Feastival include Becky Hill and Snow Patrol in 2024, with Cat Burns, Cian Ducrot, Natasha Bedingfield, Kate Nash, Ash, Scouting For Girls also performing that year.

Elsewhere, Blur’s Alex James says Oasis have “bloody smashed” their Live ’25 reunion tour.
