Kneecap have collaborated with Bohemian FC to create the club’s new away kit, to raise money for a Palestinian refugee camp.

The Irish rap trio have designed the one-off jersey in conjunction with the Dublin-based football club, which is fan-owned and not-for-profit, with the aim to pay tribute to the “unbreakable bond” between the Irish and Palestinian people.

The shirt has both the Irish and Palestinian flags interwoven into its design, while the letters C.E.A.R.T.A., which translates as “rights” and is named after the Kneecap song, are stitched into the inside neck of the garment.

30 per cent of profits from the shirt will be sent to ACLAÍ Palestine, a community gym located in the Lajee Centre in the Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem, West Bank, Palestine. The money will help build a community music studio to enable artists in the camp to record and produce their own music.

The shirt will be available to buy at the merchandise shop at Bohemian’s home ground Dalymount Park from 1-7pm on Tuesday and Wednesday (December 16 and 17), with any remaining shirts going on sale online at midday on Thursday (December 18) here.

Kneecap’s manager Daniel Lambert is also the Chief Commercial Officer of Bohemian FC, and has said: “We are delighted to unveil this jersey following lots of work over the past few months with Kneecap and with ACLAÍ Palestine. The rise of the band, to now become a recognisable name across the world playing to sold out arenas and festival headliners, has been spectacular.”

“Even more impressive is to see them continuously highlight and speak about Palestine to bigger and bigger crowds and be unrelenting in their moral convictions. To have also done this in the Irish language and whilst advocating for the rights of oppressed people across the world is an inspiration to so many people.”

Kneecap have made countless headlines in 2025 due to their outspoken support for the people of Palestine, and rapper Móglaí Bap has said: “There’s few sporting clubs in this world who continue to stand strong and unyielding against oppression and in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Bohemian F.C. is one of them and being a small part of this club with signage at Dalymount Park and attending some games has been an honour for us in Kneecap.”

“We will always stand with them and to do so whilst helping to create a space where Palestinian artists can hopefully flourish is special. We want to help spread the music created at the new studio space as much as we can and platform these artists.”

ACLAÍ Palestine founder and director Ainle Ó Cairealláin said: “The release of this jersey will create opportunities in the Aida refugee camp for young people to learn about music production, and create a space for practicing and recording music, as well as providing an invaluable resource for the community in the camp. This project is a symbol of solidarity between Ireland and Palestine, and serves to overcome the isolation that is forced upon Palestinians by the ongoing violence and oppression of the occupation and the indifference of Western governments and many media outlets.”

“We hope that the bridge built with the release of this jersey will be the beginning of an enduring relationship and that will result in deep connections between Irish and Palestinian artists that might one day share a stage together.”

Kneecap have raised money for Gaza regularly in recent years – last year, Móglaí Bap raised over £30,000 for food parcels by running 10km a day on tour,  and they played at the Gig For Gaza in London last December. This year, they played a DJ set in London to raise further funds for the people of Gaza.

Earlier this year, Oasis also teamed up with Bohemian for a new football shirt, with profits split between the club, Music Generation Ireland and Irish Community Care Manchester.

That followed a collaboration between Bohemian FC and Fontaines D.C., who launched a football shirt together for Medical Aid For Palestinians (MAP) last year.

In their shirt, the band’s logo was emblazoned on the front of the club’s 2025 third alternative jersey – a one-off edition designed by guitarist Carlos O’Connell, in conjunction with Bohemian FC designers. The design features a Palestinian flag with the words “Saoirse don Phalaistín” (Irish language for ‘Free Palestine’).

Greta Thunberg was later pictured wearing the band’s shirt in a video that raised awareness for the ‘Freedom Flotilla‘ trip. With the trip, she and 11 other campaigners set sail for Gaza in an attempt to “break Israel’s siege”.

As for Kneecap, it was recently revealed that they attracted more listeners on Spotify in 2025 in Ireland than The Beatles and Elton John.
