The Britpop heroes first announced their long-awaited reunion back in August, with a long string of gigs in the UK and Ireland. They stated that these would be their only shows in Europe, and shared that they would not be playing any festivals next year.

Addressing fan speculation that Oasis could potentially headline the annual Worthy Farm music bash, the Gallagher brothers responded to the whispers about Glasto in a post on social media. “Despite media speculation, Oasis will not be playing Glastonbury 2025 or any other festivals next year,” they said. “The only way to see the band perform will be on their Oasis Live ’25 World Tour.”

Now, Liam has taken to X/Twitter to respond to a fan after they tweeted “Reconsider doing Glastonbury Liam.” The ‘Supersonic’ hitmaker replied: “NO full of drips”.

Back in July, Liam’s brother Noel expressed his opinions on Glastonbury, sharing that the festival got “a bit woke” for his liking.

“Don’t get me wrong, I fucking love Glastonbury,” he told The Sun after the festival had concluded.

“It’s getting a bit woke now, that place, and a bit kind of preachy and a bit virtue-signalling,” he continued. “I don’t like it in music, little fucking idiots waving flags around and making political statements and bands taking the stage and saying, ‘Hey guys, isn’t war terrible, yeah? Let’s all boo war. Fuck the Tories man,’ and all that.”

The rock veteran, who was spotted side of stage watching LCD Soundsystem with Dave Grohl at this year’s edition, added: “It’s like, look, play your fucking tunes and get off.”

Isle of Wight Festival boss John Giddings also weighed in on Oasis taking on Glasto, sharing that the band were likely to decline an offer to headline the fest due to its low artist fees.

Speaking at ‘Experience 25’ – an exhibition celebrating the history of the IOW Fest – Giddings explained (via The Mirror) that both his own festival and Glastonbury “can’t afford” to have Oasis as headliners anyway, “because they want money”.

The festival boss said that other acts, however, would perform at Glastonbury “for 10p”.

In other news, the support acts for Oasis‘ 2025 UK and Ireland reunion tour have reportedly been revealed.

According to an “exclusive” report by The Independent, support at the UK and Ireland concerts will come from the former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft and Cast. The latter group recently opened for Liam on his ‘Definitely Maybe’ 30th anniversary tour.

Blossoms recently spoke to NME about the possibility of supporting Oasis at their Live ’25 dates. It currently looks unlikely that Suede or Fontaines D.C. will be on the line-up after Liam hit out at both bands online.

In other news, Liam has said that he and Noel have no plans to do any joint interviews around the highly-anticipated reunion. “We’re scared of the media asking us intrusive questions and trying to pick holes in our relationship,” he wrote.
