A new Destiny 2 update has introduced a spooky, sci-fi organ to the game, with players using it to cover pop classics.

The third chapter in Destiny 2’s ongoing Revenant story was released earlier this month, with players taking to a haunted fortress teeming with undead Scorn. “A battle to determine the fate of House Light, Mithrax and the Guardian prepare for a fateful duel with Fikrul himself,” reads the official teaser.

At the start of Kell’s Fall is the Scorn pipe organ. As part of the story, players must use it to solve a series of music-based puzzles. The organ becomes fully repaired after you’ve cleared Kell’s Fall three times and now players are using it to create their own songs.

YouTuber Lemonade has used the Scorn pipe organ to recreate Eminem’s ‘Slim Shady’ in an elaborate parody video. Another fan has used it to give Coldplay’s soppy indie anthem ‘Yellow’ a creepy makeover.

Players have also used the organ to cover Davy Jones’ theme from The Pirates Of The Caribbean and the classic ‘Ode To Joy’, while another has reworked Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’. DragonForce’s classic Guitar Hero anthem ‘Through The Fire And Flames’ has also been given a Destiny 2 makeover

“The best thing about this whole season is that organ honestly,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “I’ve spent hours on this organ already. Have so many ideas I wanna do,” wrote another.

Last year, Destiny 2 developers wrapped up a 10-year storyline with the release of The Final Shape expansion. Since then, seasons have been replaced by “larger, content-packed” episodes, which have been split into three, six-week-long acts. The current Revenant episode is due to end February 4 before Hersey will take players back to the Dreadnaught.

In other news, the latest Grand Theft Auto 6 rumour suggests the second trailer for the long-awaited game is due next week. However, not everyone is convinced. “Until Rockstar says otherwise, I ain’t gonna believe on any of this shit,” wrote one fan.
