SM Entertainment‘s latest K-pop girl group, Hearts2Hearts, have made their debut with the release of their first single, ‘The Chase’.

Hearts2Hearts released ‘The Chase’, which features the song ‘Butterflies’ on the B-side on  February 24 at 6pm KST, alongside a music video. The single isnotably co-composed by British R&B trio FLO and written by longtime SM Entertainment producer Kenzie.

In its music video, the eight members of Hearts2Hearts embark on a field trip where they experience supernatural phenomenon, leading them to the city where they eventually find themselves.

“Swim through the colors of blue ink / That squeaking, creaking chalky, chalky / Chalk will neatly / Transcribe our story / I’ll make you say my name / How can you not / I love the way, you love the chase,” they harmonise on the song.

Hearts2Hearts is comprised of Jiwoo, Carmen, Yuha, Stella, Juun, A-na, Ian and Ye-on. Their debut marks SM Entertainment’s first girl group in five years, since aespa in 2020. The eight-piece are also notably SM Entertainment’s first new act since the departure of founder Lee Soo-man in 2023.

The girl group will make their UK debut performance at the SMTOWN Live 2025 concert in London this June, taking place at the Allianz Stadium Twickenham. They join a star-studded slate of labelmates as performers, including the likes of Red Velvet, aespa, RIIZE, NCT 127, NCT Dream and more.

In other K-pop news, BLACKPINK’s Lisa dropped the full tracklist to her upcoming debut solo album ‘Alter Ego’, with a star-studded slate of featuring artists including Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla and Future, among others. The record will be released in full on February 28.
