Yungblud performs on stage in 2025

Yungblud has confirmed that he will be pulling pints for fans tonight at his favourite London pub. Check out the details below.

The announcement comes in celebration of the singer – real name Dominic Harrison – sharing a new single this morning (April 25). Titled ‘Lovesick Lullaby’, the track marks the second single to be shared from his forthcoming album, following on from comeback track ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’.

Taking to X/Twitter earlier today, the singer revealed that he is planning on marking the occasion by going to his favourite London pub, The Hawley Arms, tonight and working alongside the staff behind the bar.

He shared the news with a photograph of the bar’s rota for this week, which simply has ‘Yungblud’ down for a shift from 8pm tonight up until close. “Also workin’ a shift at the Hawley tonight to celebrate lovesick,” he wrote in the caption. “Come let me pour you a pint x”.

This is far from the first time that the artist has headed to Camden to celebrate various music milestones either. Last year, he played an impromptu show in Camden Market to celebrate the announcement of his own festival, BludFest, and surprised fans by playing a five-song set.

In 2020, he headed to The Hawley Arms shortly after winning the award for Best Music Video at the NME Awards 2020. He took home the trophy for the video for ‘Original Me’, featuring Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons – beating off competition from Normani, Brockhampton, Easy Life and Stormzy – and notably crowdsurfed his way across the bar.

Interestingly enough, tonight’s appearance won’t be his only time behind the bar either. Back in 2019, the owners of the pub shared an update on Instagram, confirming that Yungblud had made a surprise appearance and was helping out the staff. “Had this fittie pulling pints at our gaff tonight. @yungblud you’re HIRED!” they wrote.

Check out that post here, and see the new update from the pub which showed the singer hanging out in the venue earlier this morning below.

While ‘Lovesick Lullaby’ was officially shared today, Harrison did give the song its live debut during an intimate gig at London’s Scala last month, as well as the comeback track ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’.

“[I tried to] let my subconscious do a lot of the talking and then make sense of my words the following afternoon in a kitchen, hungover, eating fish and chips with a cup of tea,” he said of the inspiration in a new statement.

“I’ve been on a journey trying to find meaning in different places all over the world, for which I am forever grateful, but it felt as though my feet left the ground a little too much and I had to bring myself back… to British music, to British art and culture.”

By bringing the celebrations for the track to The Hawley Arms, Yungblud is also making a nod to the accompanying music video for the new single, which sees him clad in Burberry and heading to a party at a packed-out pub.

Other nods to the iconic London pub from Yungblud have included him recreating it at the first edition of his own festival, Bludfest, and also catching up with NME at the venue to describe what fans could expect from the event.

“We’re taking The Hawley Arms to the festival and are literally building it in Milton Keynes Bowl. I’m probably going to be watching bands and pouring lager, then at seven o’clock I’ll go have a shower, wash my winky and I’ll be ready to be fucking Yungblud,” he said.

Although Harrison has shared two songs from the forthcoming album, little is actually known about the project – including the release date or the title. In March 2024 though, Yungblud talked to NME about the new LP, which will follow his 2022 self-titled album, and cited the likes of Oasis, The Verve, Primal Scream, My Chemical Romance, David Bowie and Madonna as inspirations.

Last December, the musician then exclusively revealed to NME that it was likely going to be a “double album”.

“The new album centres around the idea of self-love and self-reclamation that allows people to feel seen, and emit this light,” he said at the time. “You can be seen for who you truly are, no matter where you’re from or what you believe… That’s what I needed to write an album about.”

More recently, he told us more about his upcoming “Britpop-inspired” new album, saying he had “never felt more clear or been more proud to stand by anything” he had made.

Further details about the record are set to be shared at a later date.

As for other Yungblud plans, this summer he will return to host the second instalment of Bludfest at Milton Keynes Bowl. He’ll headline the event following slots from Chase Atlantic, Denzel Curry, Blackbear and former NME Cover stars Rachel Chinouriri and Peach PRC. Find any remaining tickets here.

He has also been announced as the final headliner for Transylvania’s Electric Castle 2025, and opened up about a forthcoming track called ‘Zombie’, which will see him delve into topics of eating disorders and body dysmorphia.
