Charli XCX made a surprise appearance during Air‘s set at We Love Green festival in Paris to perform ‘Cherry Blossom Girl’ – check out the moment below.
The impromptu collaboration happened last night (June 8), and saw Air light up their stage in the pop star’s signature shade of ‘Brat’ green, before inviting her out to perform the track from their 2004 album ‘Talkie Walkie’.
It comes after Charli shared her Spotify Wrapped stats in December, revealing that Air were her second-most listened to artist of 2024.
Charli look on lead vocals, offering a dreamy, stripped-back take on the hit. Following the performance, she re-shared a clip to social media, writing: “dream come true <3”

In other Charli XCX news, she has curated her own day at London’s Lido Festival set to take place later this month, and will also play two outdoor shows in Belfast and Dublin. She is also lined up to play at Glastonbury 2025 and will headline Parklife. Visit here for tickets to all upcoming shows.
Elsewhere, she Recently, she poked fun at herself while accepting her Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter Of The Year, saying: “I am hardly Bob Dylan, but I commit to the bit”.
As for Air, in April VEGYN released a reimagining of their iconic 1998 album ‘Moon Safari’.
The original ‘Moon Safari’ became known for its dreamy synths, groovy bass lines, and rich melodies – cementing itself as a melodic, ambient-pop classic. VEGYN’s version of the AIR album will add experimental soundscaping, along with an energised lease of life.
The French duo also joined Massive Attack at their LIDO Festival headline show on Friday (June 6), appearing alongside Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def), The Alchemist, Tirzah and more.
