The Charlatans have announced a set of UK dates for Spring 2026 in support of their new album ‘We Are Love’.

The band are preparing to release their 14th studio album next Friday (October 31) via BMG, their first full-length record since 2017’s ‘Different Days’. It is produced by Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange), Fred Macpherson (SpectorRachel Chinouriri) and the legendary Stephen Street (The SmithsBlurThe Cranberries), and you can pre-order/pre-save it here.

They have already announced a UK tour for December this year, with dates in Leeds, Stoke, Bath, London, Manchester and Glasgow. See all the details of those shows here and find any remaining tickets here.

The band shared the title track from the new album in July, which frontman Tim Burgess told NME was “like an open top car ride in the credits of your favourite movie, driving along the coast to somewhere amazing”.

“I think it’s wildly exciting as a track,” Burgess said. “I could imagine it being a euphoric, transcendent moment. I think great tracks have that transcendence to them, so that’s what I was looking for.”

He also told us that he believes ‘We Are Love’ is the best Charlatans album ever. “So we’re all very happy with the record – I’m in awe of it,” he said. “I think it’s the best record that we’ve done. I’m filled with elation and pride around it. I guess there’s times where it felt like a long time coming together. It’s at least two-and-a-half years making this one, off and on. But yeah, it’s great. It’s amazing.”

Elsewhere, Burgess recently confirmed that the annual Merch Market will come to London’s Troxy in 2026. The event allows bands to sell merchandise for free and keep 100 per cent of the income and was held in Manchester last year, with New OrderInspiral Carpets and Everything Everything involved.
