The Enemy have announced their first new album in 10 years – find all the details below.
The Coventry band have confirmed they will release ‘Social Disguises’ their first LP since 2015’s ‘It’s Automatic’, on February 20, 2026. You can pre-order it here.
They will also share the first taster from the record ‘Not Going Your Way’ next Friday (October 31), which you can pre-save here.
Frontman Tom Clarke said of the new record, the band’s fifth: “We tried to make this album in the same frame of mind that we made our first, as though we were making the follow-up to it.
“It took a year to write, around 90 demos, and another year in the studio. I’m very proud of it. We all are. Whatever success it does or doesn’t enjoy I feel like we all succeeded in making a great record we can be proud of forever.”

Speaking to NME last year about their plans for a comeback album, Clarke previously said: “We started writing this time last year, tentatively putting a few ideas down, feeling how it might sound. There was a pause, then once we got back to it, the floodgates opened.
“All these Enemy-sounding songs came out and it’s felt like the beginning again, before the demands of: ‘We need another ‘Had Enough’. When you pick them apart, a lot of the songs on ‘We’ll Live And Die In These Towns’ are quite weird. We’ve found that weirdness again. We’ve demoed the songs at our home studios, and in a fortnight we’re going into the studio with our producer, Matt Terry.”
The band’s 2007 debut album ‘We’ll Live And Die In These Towns’ was a platinum-selling Number One and spawned huge hits including ‘Had Enough’, ‘Away From Here’, ‘You’re Not Alone’ and the LP’s title track.
The Enemy released a further three albums before they split in 2016. They eventually reformed in 2022 and embarked on a comeback tour before they joined forces with fellow ’00s indie bands The Subways and The Holloways for the ‘Indie Til I Die’ package tour last year.
They are currently in the middle of a UK tour, which continues at the Leadmill in Sheffield on October 30 before they wrap up with two shows at HMV Empire in their hometown next month.
You can find all their remaining tour dates here and and purchase tickets for the shows here.
