Katy Perry has announced a new outdoor show at Cardiff Castle, taking place in summer 2026. Find out ticket details below.

The newly announced live show will be one of only two exclusive UK shows from the pop star in 2026, following her huge arena tour earlier this year, which helped support the Music Venue Trust.

For the huge outdoor gig in Wales, the ‘Teenage Dream’ singer will be headlining the TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle on Tuesday, June 30.

She joins a stacked bill for the Welsh outdoor summer series, with The Streets, McFly, MIKA, Garbage, Two Door Cinema Club, Billy Ocean, and more also announced as headliners. DEPOT Live at Cardiff Castle 2026 is presented by promoters DEPOT Live and Cuffe and Taylor.

“What’s up Wales? I can’t wait to see you guys and we’ll have a party you’ll never forget. It will be epic,” Perry said ahead of her trip to Cardiff, while DEPOT Live founder Nick Saunders added: “Katy Perry is an icon so we are delighted to be welcoming her to Cardiff next summer.

“Given her superstar status and the fact that this is one of only two shows in the UK next year this will be a hot ticket, so do not delay on securing your place at what will be a brilliant night at the castle.”

Tickets go on sale on Friday (November 21) at 9am. Visit here for tickets and more information.

The news of the mammoth Cardiff show comes just days after Perry announced another huge UK headline show, taking place at the 10,000-capacity Blenheim Palace Festival in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.

That gig will see the ‘E.T.’ hitmaker take to the stage on July 1, and join others on the bill including Teddy Swims and Pete Tong. Outside of the UK, next summer will also see Perry headline ‘Pop Day’ at the 2026 edition of Rock In Rio Lisbon Festival.

All new dates come in celebration of her seventh album ‘143’, which NME awarded two stars and described as “a serviceable but slightly dull collection on which Perry struggles to relocate her old sense of fun”.

The record also sparked backlash due to the record seeing her work with Dr. Luke, despite the abuse and assault allegations against him.

Back in September, Perry reflected on her “rollercoaster year” and told fans that she was done “forcing” her career. “Whatever comes next, I’m letting it unfold naturally,” she said. “No forcing, no controlling – just trusting the angels, the fans, and the music to guide me where I’m meant to go.”

One of the things she was criticised for over the past 12 months was her involvement in a controversial space flight mission in April, organised by Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin, where she was a member of the first all-female space flight in history. Among those who didn’t approve of the journey was actress Olivia Munn who branded Perry “gluttonous”, Emily Ratajkowski who said she was “disgusted” by the flight, and Lily Allen who called the mission “out of touch”.

As she later kicked off her 2025 tour dates, she faced other difficulties as there were multiple instances of props malfunctioning, fans fainting on stage, and harsh criticism from some over the choreography.

Despite this, the tour grossed more than $80million (£59million) in sales, and she has also released ‘Bandaids’ as a new single, which makes nods to the things she has overcome in recent times.
