Soulja Boy has taken aim at Drake in a new video posted to social media, telling him to remain out of the United States and “stay in Canada”.

Soulja Boy (real name DeAndre Cortez Way) took to an Instagram live stream to poke at Drake. “You can’t even come to America and talk to the president,” he said. “Fuck boy, stay in Canada where your bitch ass belong at. You’s a bitch.”

He also then commented on Drake’s defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group over the alleged artificial inflation of streams of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’. “Ya’ll the type of [people] that sue [people]… like Drake,” he continued. “Y’all hoes. Y’all the type of people that lose a rap battle and sue a n—a … I’m a real gangster, bro. I could never sue a n—a.”

Drake and his peers were described as “certified paedophiles” who should “be registered and placed on neighbourhood watch” in Kendrick Lamar’s track. Drake’s lawsuit, filed in a New York federal court last week (January 15), called the release and promotion of the track, where Lamar alleged Drake “likes ‘em young”, an example of valuing “corporate greed over the safety and wellbeing of its artists”.

It alleges that UMG “approved, published and launched a campaign to create a viral hit out of a rap track” that was “intended to convey the specific, unmistakable, and false factual allegation that Drake is a criminal paedophile, and to suggest that the public should resort to vigilante justice in response”.

In other Soulja Boy-related news, the rapper has defended his choice to perform at Donald Trump‘s recent inauguration ball, claiming “it wasn’t even a Trump event” and the President wasn’t there.

Over the weekend Soulja performed at the inaugural Crypto Ball in Washington DC, an event described as a “celebratory setting intended to honour America’s first ‘crypto president’”. He was then faced with backlash for “supporting Trump” and his policies, so the rapper took to an Instagram live video to address the criticism.

“Them n****s they paid me a bag, n****,” he began. “[Barack] Obama ain’t ever put no money in my pockets, n****. Kamala [Harris] ain’t never no money in my motherfucking pockets, n****. Trump put money in my pockets, n****.

“Motherfuckers are trying to say something about me performing at the Crypto Ball party: did Kamala call my fucking phone? Did Obama call my motherfucking phone? Did any of y’all n****s call my motherfucking phone?”
