Strange Basin #5 with the Zombie
Loyle Carner has announced details of a new album titled ‘Hopefully!’ and an upcoming world tour. Check out the recent double single, ‘All I Need/In My Mind’ below.
The new record is set to arrive on June 20 via Island EMI, and comes as the highly anticipated follow-up to the hit 2022 release ‘Hugo’ – which saw Carner score his second Mercury Prize nomination and second Top Three album.
According to a new description, the LP will see the British artist tackle a “life-affirming exploration of fatherhood, childhood and alternative music”, as well as step out of his comfort zone by singing, producing and “accidentally forming the band of his dreams.
The overall aura of the album will see him capture an uplifting, positive message, and “cultivates healthier boundaries, whilst also allowing his audience in” to more personal aspects of his life.
He has previewed ‘Hopefully!’ with the new double single, ‘All I Need/In My Mind’. Dropped as a surprise release, the two tracks show a new side to Carner’s songwriting. The former sees the artist overcome his darkest moments and embrace the simple pleasures of life, backed by a sombre, gentle melody.
The latter takes on more of an old-school feel, making subtle nods to ‘90s hip-hop as the songwriter tackles the feeling of overthinking and doubt. “In my mind again/ Lost another minor friend/ Something’s in my mind again/ Guess it’s looking like the end,” he sings in the chorus.

“Sunlight streaming through the window, ‘Hopefully!’ signals a new era in which Loyle Carner continues to push the boundaries of his art (and himself),” reads a new description. The record follows on from his breakthrough 2013 EP ‘A Little Late’, as well as full albums including 2017’s ‘Yesterday’s Gone’, 2019’s ‘Not Waving, But Drowning’ and 2022’s ‘Hugo’.
As well as announcing new material, Carner has also confirmed a new world tour, which is set to kick off this year. It comes following confirmation that he is set to headline The Other Stage at Glastonbury in June.
The dates commence in October, opening with a European leg of shows that includes dates in Stockholm, Oslo, Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Paris and more. In November, the musician will head over to the UK for the second leg of the tour.
This includes four back-to-back nights at the O2 Academy in Brixton, London, followed by shows in Cardiff and Dublin, three shows in Glasgow, two in Newcastle, two in Birmingham and three in Manchester.
Further dates include Australian shows in December – held at Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth – as well as North American tour dates at the beginning of 2026. Visit here for UK tickets, here for Australian tickets, and here for all other tickets.

In other Loyle Carner news, it was recently announced that the artist will be making his acting debut in Mint, a new BBC drama from BAFTA-nominated Scrapper director Charlotte Regan.
The eight-part television series is described by the BBC as “a darkly comic and unconventional drama about a crime family’s inner life, told through Regan’s unique and distinctive voice. It explores the question of what love might feel like when everyone outside of your family is terrified of you.”
Last year, Carner received an honorary degree from the University Of The Arts London (UAL). The South London artist earned the Honorary Doctor title at an awards ceremony in the capital last July.
