Primavera Sound Porto has announced a stacked line-up for 2026, including headliners The xx, Gorillaz and Massive Attack. See it in full below.
The Portuguese music festival will once again take place at Parque da Cidade from June 11-14 next year.
IDLES, Big Thief, Ethel Cain, Bad Gyal, JADE, KNEECAP, Slowdive, Dijon, Oklou and Amaarae are also set to perform.
The bill is completed by the likes of Sudan Archives, fakemink, Panda Bear, Water From Your Eyes, Annahstasia, Joey Valence & Brae, Viagra Boys, Ninajirachi, Black Country, New Road, Nation of Language, Model/Actriz, and more, who will all make their appearance next year.
Tickets are on sale now; general and VIP passes are currently available to purchase here. Schemes for Revolut customers and payment in instalments through Kaboodle are also available.
Last year’s edition of Primavera Sound Porto saw Charli XCX, Deftones, Fontaines D.C., Central Cee, Jamie xx, Beach House, Haim, Michael Kiwanuka, Turnstile and more play at the festival.
Just last month, Primavera Sound Porto’s sister festival, Primavera Sound Barcelona, announced its own line-up, with The Cure, Gorillaz, The xx, Doja Cat and Massive Attack all set to perform.
Other acts on the bill include Wet Leg, My Bloody Valentine, Addison Rae, PinkPantheress, Kneecap, Mac DeMarco, Big Thief, JADE, Marina, Blood Orange, Father John Misty, Ethel Cain, Slowdive, Little Simz, Yard Act, Knocked Loose, Skrillex, Peggy Gou and Viagra Boys.
This is set to be a huge year for The xx; Romy told us at the BRITs last year that the band had been in the studio “regularly”, implying new music was coming soon.
“We’ve been in the studio since I last spoke to NME and we’re in the studio again next week, so we’re meeting up regularly,” she told us. “It’s been really good. I think we’ve all spent time apart and it’s healthy to miss each other.”
She added: “We’re just keeping it really open and we’re up for trying new things, but it sounds like us. That’s all I can say right now.
“We’ve learned a lot from our different solo projects and it’s cool to learn from each other again. We grew up together and we had a lot of experiences, but to then have time apart and learn new skills, get new musical ideas and experiences and compare them… it’s been a healthy break.”
Elsewhere, Massive Attack have corrected the “outright lies” of reports on facial recognition at their live shows.
