RAYE has said she has found her stolen car with her songwriting books “untouched”.

In October 2024, the South London singer-songwriter announced the delay of her long-awaited second album following the theft of her car with her songwriting books inside.

But now, RAYE has said the car has been recovered – and she has found her books as well. Appearing on the The EE Official Big Top 40, she revealed the police had found the stolen car and called her with the good news about three months ago.

“It was a rollercoaster journey, but what I didn’t tell everyone is the police called me maybe two or three months ago, and they were like, ‘We found your car,’” RAYE said. “Not only did I get it back, not one thing had been taken out of the car. All my songwriting books were there, untouched.”

“Everything ended well,” she added. “Never give up hope.” Watch footage of the moment here.

So far, RAYE has shared the lead single ‘Where Is My Husband?’ from her long-awaited second album.

While full details for the album haven’t been released yet, it’s been confirmed it will drop sometime in 2026 – you can pre-order the record, currently dubbed ‘Album 2’, here.

RAYE will also embark a lengthy 2026 tour, dubbed ‘This Tour May Contain New Music’. It will see her perform across Europe, the UK and North America between January and May. Sisters Absolutely and Amma will support her across all dates on the expansive tour.

RAYE last released music with her 2023 debut ‘My 21st Century Blues’, which scored a four-star review from NME: “RAYE recently said such bold and brave declarations wouldn’t have been released had she still been signed to a major label. Granted her creative independence, though, the hard-fought ‘My 21st Century Blues’ is unequivocally RAYE from start to finish.”
