Spotify Wrapped 2025 – the streaming giant’s annual feature which looks back on your year in music, and finds the platform’s biggest tracks, artists – is set to drop in the coming weeks.
It has become a staple of music lovers’ festive period – reflecting their listening habits from the past 12 months in its ‘Celebration Of Your Year’ experience.
Spotify are yet to announce when Wrapped 2025 will drop but it normally lands in late November or early December. Last year, Spotify Wrapped dropped on December 4. In 2023, it landed on November 29.
Last year saw the likes of Billie Eilish, Usher and Sabrina Carpenter join thousands of names in recording video messages to thank fans who had them as their top acts on Wrapped 2024.

Premium users also received a personalised playlist that brought together music videos from their most-loved musician of 2024. Podcast fans, meanwhile, saw short messages from some of their favourite hosts.
Artists like Charli XCX also shared their own most-listened-to tracks and artists of the year, while Sabrina Carpenter said she couldn’t post her results due to her own name being among her Top Five artists.
Gwyneth Paltrow meanwhile shared her skepticism over the data on her Spotify Wrapped playlist for 2024, saying that it didn’t add up.
Arctic Monkeys and Oasis were among the UK’s top indie bands on Spotify Wrapped 2024, along with The Smiths, Radiohead and Gorillaz.
In addition to Wrapped, Spotify also shared its annual lists of the most-streamed artists, songs, albums, podcasts and audiobooks in the UK and globally, as well as the top authors worldwide.
Taylor Swift came in at Number One on both the UK and global Top Artists run-down. Both versions also featured the likes of The Weeknd, Billie Eilish and Drake, with Ariana Grande and Bad Bunny being among the biggest acts around the world.
Elsewhere, a site parodying Spotify Wrapped 2024 was taken down at the request of Spotify‘s legal team after ‘Spotify Unwrapped‘, which spoofs the streaming giant’s annual Wrapped feature, highlighted the pay artists received from the platform.

More recently, the Sabres Of Paradise removed their music from Spotify due to its “financial ties to AI-driven weapon technologies”.
The band are far from the first high-profile musicians to withdraw their music from Spotify in recent months, following reports over the summer that the outgoing CEO Daniel Ek led a €600million (£524million) investment into Helsing, a Munich-based company creating drones and artificial intelligence for military operations.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard pulled their music from the streaming platform as a result, in a bid to “put pressure on these Dr. Evil tech bros to do better”.
In September, Ek announced that he would be stepping down as CEO on January 1, 2026, with Spotify co-presidents Alex Norström and Gustav Söderström set to take his place.
Meanwhile, a recent lawsuit was filed alleging that the number of streams Drake has on Spotify were artificially inflated.
Despite that, Spotify recently cracked down on AI, removing 75 million tracks and targeted impersonators and the streaming giant previously claimed it had paid $10billion (£7.58billion) in royalties in 2024, the largest payout to the music industry in a single year.
