WayV have announced their return with an upcoming winter album – find out more below.

Today (November 17), the SM Entertainment boyband took to social media to announce a new special album for this year’s winter season. It is being titled ‘Eternal White’, and is due for release on December 08.

Watch the teaser trailer for WayV’s new album ‘Eternal White’ below.

The group, who serve as NCT’s six-member sub-unit, debuted in January 2019 with the mini-album ‘The Vision’. The group is currently composed of Kun, Ten, Winwin, Xiaojun, Hendery and Yangyang.

They initially debuted as a seven-member group, though member Lucas Wong left WayV and NCT in May 2023 after an extended hiatus. Wong went on hiatus in August 2021 after a South Korean netizen claiming to be his ex-girlfriend accused him of gaslighting her. Following the original post, a Chinese netizen had also come forward with similar allegations, claiming that the singer had been cheating on both users at the same time.

Lucas officially left both projects in May 2023, but would remain signed under SM Entertainment, with the label saying that the singer was “planning on showing his performance though a wide variety of individual works from now on”.

WayV have released two full-length studio albums to date: 2020’s ‘Awaken The World’ and 2023’s ‘On My Youth’. They’ve released eight mini-albums since debuting, the most recent being this year’s ‘Big Bands’.
